How do i increase the ram on my computer? is it free?!?viruses
No. RAM is not free. You can see if your computer can hanle more RAM by going to Crucial.com and running a scan.

Some security products are resource hogs. There are a few that don't need as many system resources to run. If you could elaborate on how much RAM you have (right click My Computer, Properties, General - RAM listed at the bottom) and which security product you are trying to install, it might help.
Also remember that everything takes RAM. No only security products but your operating system, active browser windows, running applications (such as Word), Gaming, etc all require system resources.

You're welcome and that really is insufficient RAM to run everything plus Norton. Report It
I agree with Mike, take your machine online to crucial.com. That will examine your particular setup %26 make recommendations about any additional RAM, including compatibility which is important. You don't have to buy from crucial, but you will have to buy somewhere. There's also tips on there on how to fit it.
Your computer has no memory spare (RAM) you will need to take it to a computer retailer like PC world and have it upgraded ... this costs around 拢50 ... or free if you have insurance with them (you are allowed 2 free upgrades)
RAM is memory your computer uses to "think" It's not free you have to buy it.
You can easily buy memory (RAM) and install it in a computer desktop, but in a laptop its more tricky. You will probably need to go to a PC World type place for that.
RAM is hardware %26 you'll have to increase it by adding an additional RAM chip in your Laptop. An extra 512 RAM should be enough for all the essential softwares including the u've mentioned. The cost of the RAM will be around 80$ - 85$ approx. or Rs. 3500 in Indian Currency.
