uninstall the piece of crap you have (Norton Security)

it takes so much memory that it slows your PC down

go download the more efficient and less intrusive antivirus programs. as for me, ive been using Avira AntivirXP for 3 years and never had problems with virus. its very low on memory usage too

check it out

Norton is indeed crap

remove unwanted start-up by going to msconfig on run. Uninstall nortorn and find a better reliable antivirus/spyware protector, def computer once in a while, clear tempory files and history. you can do alot more the boot windows up more quickly, try researching it on google.
Run disc cleanup, clear the browsing history and defrag the hard drive, this may help it along.
maybe you have so many autostart at your start up or you don't have enough memory for your computer. you better check on that..
Switch it on 5 minutes before you want to get online.

Instant access when you want it.
For starters Norton is a resource hog which slows down the system by around 22%.
