Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering at SUNY Stony Brook?

I have been accepted to SUNY Stony Brook and i'm stuck deciding which major I should take. I love anything engineering oriented... so it really wouldnt matter which one of these three majors I go into. It really comes down to the amount of potential the major has in terms of job opportunities, salary for jobs in that major, job security, and how interesting the jobs in that major would be.

Any tips and suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Really depends on the area you plan on getting a job.

For example, in the Silicon Valley of CA, Chip Design Engineers (mostly EE's) get the best paying jobs ($100K+) but work a lot of hours (like 60hrs/week min).

Top ME jobs traditionally go to automotive design (like working for Ford, GM, etc).

Good Luck...

EE is usually seems a more difficult and challenging major than ME but in term of availability of jobs, I would take ME over EE or Comp.E. ME is very broad, offering jobs opportunity in many different fields. You can usually find ME work in most cities whereas EE and Comp.E, you would have to be in the bigger cities and it's very limited.
I would start at Stonybrook and then check out the different departments, classes, and career opportunities once you are in college. They are three VERY different majors, so once you have all the information you can make a more informed decision. Your first year is general education requirements anyway (English, history, social studies), in addition to your physics, calculus etc in preparation for engineering classes.
