Well, I searched already for some questions on here...
But I have a windows XP, and for some reason I don't have a (D:) drive.
I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my problem :/
Well, I put a disk in, and...nothing happens.
It doesn't say there's a disk in any of the drives.
And sooner or later I'm going to have renew my Norton internet virus thing.
And with a disk drive that doesn't work, I'm not sure how I'm going to do that...
Also, I could renew it on the internet, but my mom won't let me D:
~So uh yeah, what can I do to make my disk drive thing work, and will my computer catch viruses if I don't have the anti virus on it?~
Disk drive doesn't recognise when I put disk in? [Norton Internet Security]?photoshop
You really have two problems here:
1. Disk drive (I presume this is your CD/DVD drive) doesn't work.
2. Norton is going to expire soon.
Problem 1 is very involved.
- Check your device manager (right-click "my computer", go to "Properties", click on the "hardware" tab, then click the "device manager" button. If you see any red "X"s you may have a problem. Expand the "DVD/CD-ROM drives" node and see if you can find your cd/dvd drive. If it shows up, you know that it at lesat has basic functionality. Try reinstalling the drivers for that device (even if the system claims the device is working), if it doesn't...
