most hp/compaq computers come pre-installed with backweb ..it is used to update from hp for some one known reason...it is not necassary to have on pc...u can remove or block it ..it is ur choice....nothing bad will happen if u block it..or deny it

...if u allow it though...it could possibly be used to install unwanted programs.....i dont believe that would happen because it is from hp isnt it?....ifu feel u are infected or u are not sure

I own a Presario and I haven't seen anything like that.

I think you need to run ewido and AdAware.

Download and Update Ewido (now called the AVG Antispyware). Do not run:
