I cannot find the update on add/remove but can find it using the search facility.
(1) Can I just delete it? If not how else can I get rid of it?
(2) This is the second time this has happened so how do I stop it given that I have automatic update on my system?
I've tried to follow the instructions on the microsoft website but don't find the instructions about the .wab file(??) very easy to follow. There are two users on the computer and both email accounts are affected.
I have a problem with Outlook that is apparently caused by security update KB911567.?ducati
if you download ccleanerhttp://ccleaner.com/ which is an excellent free cleanup tool for windows, you can use the tools section to uninstall anything in your add/remove programs including M$ updates

Why dont you go to add and remove programs and remove the update. At the top of the window on add and remove programs tick the box to show updates. Then next time you install updates go to custom install and untick the box for that update and in the next window tick the box to never remind you of that update again and it want be downloaded again.
If you're using XP, I recommend that you Restore to a previous setting and that should solve your problems.
