HELP ME I think i have a computer virus?

Hey peoples I hope you can help me with this . At the top of my browser i have a toolbar called security toolbar 7.1 . I keep getting messages that i have trojans and worms and it wants me to download a virus cleaner thingy . I also get a browser constantly opening with nothing on it . But the address says gateow in it somewhere . And the bottom task bar dissapears . And when I open my pictures it closes right away . So I cant use them if I wanted to . Man this really sucks . Please help meee!!!! Thank you everyone

I had something like that once on my desktop. I tried using Avast and for some reason it still didn't pick up on it. If for some reason Avast does not do the job for you. Then i suggest you use a program called Smith Fraud Fix (Freeware).

All you have to do is install it.

Run the program in Safe Mode.

Restart computer.

Now the annoying thing on your toolbar should be gone.

This is a very good program if you get anything else like this on your computer.

Yeah, you've picked up a virus. I'd suggest picking up antivirus software, like Avast!

Spybot S %26 D may be able to catch this one too, as it does seem like something Spybot would kill.
Use Avast or AVG
mac or windows?

if mac ... probbably a scam.

windows get AVG free trial and runa scan for a day.

and repair it delete from disk
